Obed Akanya Set to Release Better Dayzz Album

Obed Akanya, is a gifted singer, composer and song writer whose career in professional Gospel music has span almost two decades. He is also the C.E.O & Founder of Fatherheart Ministries International, a ministry that is known for Atmosphere for Worship, a worship meeting that holds monthly in Jos, Nigeria.

With the following albums to his credit: You Alone released 1998, Miracle Worker released 2001, Manger (Christmas album) released 2007 and the newest project is titled ‘BetterDayz’ to be released on the 20^th July 2014 which will be featuring Samsong and Kingsley Ike.

We currently live in a time of international civil uprising, domestic violence, insurgency and bloodshed, Akanya says, “These are times where we need to seek God and raise a generation of true worshipers who will worship God in spirit and in truth and also usher them into that atmosphere and era of possessing their blessings, and in turn affect their generation and environment”. This is expressed in a track in his soon to be released album titled “Betterdayz”: "You better be ready/ we have an understanding of the time and the season/ Gods making preparation/ to bring The Blessing to your door/ you better be ready”

Growing up on a musical diet of Bebe Winans, The Winans, Michael Jackson, Bola Are, Bob Marley, Chris Okotie, Sunny Okosun, Donnie McClurkin, Dr.Panam Percy Paul, Redemption voices of Church of God mission Intl. Benin City of the 80s and a host of others. He has so far been mightily used of God to ignite a worship revival in the city of Jos. His ministry style is quite unique, and lovely. You definitely can't pin him up with just a musical performance because his fusion of singing with deep biblical expositions and a succinct collage of the prophetic is really incredible.
