The first time I heard the song iPraise, I looked forward
to meeting the cute guy that did the song. After a very long time trying to
catch up with him failed because of his busy schedule, finally guess what I caught up with him
in Abuja recently during an event. I have decided to bring to you an exclusive interview with Dammy ‘Jare.

get to meet you..?
Dammy Jare: I am singer, songwriter, guitarist, keyboardist,
percussionist, producer and recording artiste.Born Adejare Adeyemi Damilola in
Ikeja, Lagos, I hail from the Great Amororo Royal Dynasty of the Owu Kingdom,
Ogun State.However, music was a part of the family as I gained so much from my father, Barr. (Prince) Adetunji Adejare’s dexterity in music, sounds
and theatre arts

Naijagospelbeatz: Tell us how it all started..?
Dammy Jare: Started
playing drums from age 7 and also lead choral groups in elementary school.
He developed more interest in music and has performed as guitarist and
keyboardist with artiste of different genres of music, Hip-hop, Fuji, and
Highlife etc. My love for percussions and African tunes reflects so much
in my songs as I fuse Fuji tunes with Highlife and Trance beats….
Naijagospelbeatz: Since you started very early, how did you combine your education with music?
Dammy Jare: Laughs…Well, education is very important and my
parents do not take it likely with their wards who at any point deviate from
their academics. I spent time to study that’s why I went to study Law, but now
into music cause of my childhood fantasy of giving back to the society at large
via Inspirational and Gospel tunes…. 2011, I did a Praise Tour to 50
churches within and outside Nigeria, which gave him the required
recognition amongst Gospel Artistes in Nigeria, Rep. Du
Benin, Ghana and the United States.

Naijagospelbeatz: For how long have u been in d industry professionally?
Dammy Jare: Since 1998.
Naijagospelbeatz: Wow, Dammy how has the journey been so far, what are the challenges etc?
Dammy Jare: The journey hasn’t been too smooth, you know how it is being an instrumentalist, but the end now clearly justifies the means
Naijagospelbeatz: What would you say were your major challenge??
Dammy Jare: Accessibilty to rehearsal equipments & funds
Naijagospelbeatz: How much support do you get from your local church and others? In order to help u stay relevant in the ministry?
Dammy Jare: I really appreciate God in the life of my Oracle, Pastor Nelson Okene and his amiable wife, Dame Sarah Okene and the entire Dew Of Hermon Faith Centre for their believe and support to what I love doing. They’ve been of great support and encouragement. Sometimes, late last year I did the Abuja version launch of my album at the where I received so much support from Pastor Maryln who hosted me and my crew. The event was attended by top gospel artist based in Abuja, the likes of JimmydPsalmist, Donsam, T-Philz, Steve Williz, Manuz, King Unachi, Godman, Prospa Tytman, Vicky Mc, Pelumi Songs, and my brother Psalm Ebube. It was an awesome time in his presence. I must say the support have been impressive and we bless God.I sincerely want to use this medium to say a very big thank you to Dr. & Mrs Vincent Igbokwe and Pst Joshua John-Nissi for their immense support.

Dammy Jare: Female fans are very important τ̲̅ȍ artistes, they encourage you the more, we can't do without them

Dammy Jare: The iPraise Missionary Tour in 50 churches within and outside that took me & my crew thru Lagos-Shagamu-Ibadan-Warri-Ozoro-PHC-Minna-Nassarawa-Abuja-Cotonou helped a lot with special thanks King Sunny Unachi(Olong Jnr).
Naijagospelbeatz: There is a trend right now that Ignore warning almost all the artiste want to do song with a more or else secular style, what do you have to say about that, Considering we are children of the kingdom?
Dammy Jare: Secular? Laughs… what is your definition of secular?
Anyway, music is broad, we minister in different styles and sometimes in the
style that those we want to win their
heart's catchy style...
Considering the fact why we are here as Children of the Kingdom, Jesus himself didn't come for the saved, He came for the lost...

Dammy Jare: Laughing ….My compositions are funny o, I hear the sounds and it comes strongly so I just develop it... atimes it comes in the toilet sef... laughing out strongly and some percentage comes when my Pastor, Nelson Okene is Ministering

is a close friend of mine, for now let’s live it there.
